Dear Seton Catholic Central community,
I would like to share some exciting news with all of you. Our school’s Varsity Softball Team has secured a spot in the upcoming sectional tournament!
This season has been filled with challenges and tough battles on the field. Despite facing formidable opponents, our team continued on each game. It is truly remarkable how we fought every game, and came agonizingly close to victory, with four losses by just one run against bigger schools. The girls finished the season on a high note with a win in the Mudville tournament last weekend.
Our Softball Team may be small in numbers, but their hearts are enormous. They’ve demonstrated growth, not just in their skills but also in their character. Each player has shown remarkable grit, and sportsmanship throughout the season. We even have some battling through injuries to keep the season going and one pulling double duty playing Varsity Flag Football as well.
As we prepare for the sectional tournament, let’s rally behind our Softball Team with support and encouragement. They’ve already proven that they have what it takes to compete in games this year, and I have no doubt they will continue to make us proud.
To our coaches, thank you for your dedication and guidance in nurturing these young talents. Your mentorship has played a pivotal role in shaping them into the team they are today.
To the parents and guardians, thank you for your support and for entrusting us with the care and development of your children. Your encouragement from the stands is invaluable to our team’s success.
I invite all members of our school community to go out and show your support for our Softball Team this Thursday, May 16th as they travel to Southern Cayuga for their game at 4:30 pm.
It’s a Great Day To Be A Saint!
Thank you
Ryan Kerrick
