SCC Community:
In lieu of the normal weekly newsletter we will send this email.
I want to start by thanking everyone for their patience today during our evacuation. Our teachers, students, & staff were absolutely rock stars.
Incident Today:
Early in the afternoon, an odd smell was reported to the office. We quickly found the origin of the smell & contacted Binghamton Fire who advised us to evacuate the building out of an extreme abundance of caution. Binghamton Fire worked tirelessly to remove the smell. They indicated to us that no one was in danger at any point in the day. We thank them for their efforts. We were able to return to the building at 3:00 PM. I cannot thank enough our wonderful staff, students, and teachers.
If your child was unable to collect their belongings, we will be open tomorrow from 8:00 AM-10:00 AM for students to collect their belongings.
April 8th Dismissal:
SCC will be dismissed at 12:00 PM on Monday April 8th. To ensure that students arenโt eating lunch too early, we will be having a schedule where we have the first 3 periods of the day followed by the 8th & 9th period classes & then conclude with periods 4-7. We will send out the specifics of this schedule next week.
The following busses will pick up at the following times:
Binghamton: 2 PM
Owego: 1 PM
M-E: 1 PM
Montrose: 12 PM
Vestal: 12 PM
CV: 12 PM
UE: 12 PM
Whitney Point: 12:30 PM
Again I cannot thank everyone for their hard work & patience today. Have a wonderful Easter!
God Bless,
Patrick Monachino
