This year Seton is not able to donate the Christmas trees, with decorations, that we normally do to twenty needy families in our community. This is normally done through Catholic Charities. In talking with them, I asked what we as a school community could do in lieu of the trees. We have decided to do a couple of different collections.
Student Council is hoping to purchase about 100 stockings to fill with small items. We just finished filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child so this is in keeping with the same thought of filling a stocking for boys and girls ages 2-6, 7-11, 12-17. Suggestions are for mittens/gloves, socks, candy, small toys, personal care items such as hair accessories, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand sanitizer, masks, toothbrush/toothpaste, art/school supplies, Please consider bringing in one or more items to help us fill these stockings.
We will also be collecting canned and boxed food items for Catholic Charities to give to families over the Christmas break.
Any donations of items or money to make purchases are welcomed. Thank you in advance for your generosity! We will be sending these to Catholic Charities by Friday, Dec 18th
