The Catholic-based learning environment at Seton Catholic Central is inspired by our ever-present teacher, Jesus Christ. Our students are encouraged to develop a love of learning, which will serve them throughout their lives. Our mission is to meet each student’s needs – spiritual, academic and emotional – through a fiscally responsible program that recognizes the importance of stewardship in all its forms.
Seton Catholic Central is chartered by the New York State Board of Regents and is a member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Code of Conduct
Spiritual unity is evident in the celebration of the Eucharist. The SCC community pray together at the start of each day, in classes, on retreats, and in the school chapel. These activities promote an attitude of respect and concern for one another. SCC strives to create an environment that is structured and conducive to learning. Our rules are based on Christian values and beliefs. The rules are established to protect the academic and philosophical mission of Seton Catholic Central and, therefore, must be obeyed and supported.

Annual Medical Examination – The New York State Education Law requires a physical for each new student and all 10th grade students. Parents have the option of using their family physician or the school’s physician. A sports physical is also acceptable. If the physical exam form is not turned in by October 1st, a school physical will be scheduled. Physical exam forms are available in the Health Office. The school should be notified of any known student health problems or any changes in information previously submitted. Scoliosis screenings will be done annually for students under the age of 17 who have not had a physical. Vision screenings are performed on students annually. Hearing screenings are performed on all 10th grade students.
Administration of Medicine If a student must take any medication during school hours, the school will require:
- A written request from the parent/guardian.
- The written order of the prescribing physician indicating the name, purpose and dosage requirements of the medication.
- The appropriate form requesting medications to be given in school can be obtained in the Health Office. It is acceptable for the physician to write the medication order on their prescription sheet instead.
- All medication is to be dropped off and picked up by the parent/guardian at the beginning and end of the prescription period.
- All medication must be in the original container. Ask your pharmacist for a double label for the school time doses.
Our school bookstore is run by Mr. Kevin Lucia. The store is open every day both before and after school. School supplies, snacks, Seton souvenirs and clothing, calculators, and books are all available in the bookstore.
SCC views the dress code as an integral part of the disciplinary training. A personal sense of pride and worth are key to success at SCC. The dress code is in effect throughout the day.
Having uniforms/a dress code better prepares students for the work force.
