From the Office of Alumni & Development

Greetings fellow Saints!

As we begin a new year, I find myself reflecting on the year we left behind.  With my first year as your Alumni Director in the books, I am excited to say we are making great strides to increase communication with you and build on engagement opportunities.  I would like to see nothing more than our alumni become active members of the Saints community!

The past year was spent finding ways to locate our alumni, and to provide ways in which they can be involved in the Catholic schools community.  The alumni office is in desperate need of current contact information for many of our alumni.  It is my hope that by providing new ways to become involved and reaching out through different mediums,  we will touch more of you and start to build a stronger alumni network.

One of the first goals was to form an alumni association that will be led by our first-ever alumni board. Former CSBC President and SCC Principal, Richard Bucci, will serve as the first president.  A few members have already joined the board.  If you are interested in being involved, please reach out to the Alumni Office. In addition, we have formed a G.O.L.D. Board (Graduates of the Last Decade).  Joseph Ryan ’17 will serve as the chair.  It is the goal of both boards to help increase communication with our alumni.

Thanks to the support of the Catholic Education Foundation, the Alumni Office was able to hire, Jennifer Dube as our new Alumni & Development Coordinator. Jennifer will oversee many of the day-to-day operations of the alumni office, including this publication and our printed newsletter.

In the fall of 2018 we launched our new website. The site includes new alumni pages with reunion and event information, along with a place to post lost alumni.  If you see your name here, please provide us with your current contact information. In addition, you can fill out our contact form to keep us abreast of the great things happening in your life.

Finally, to keep with our theme of engagement we have decided to host our first-ever All Alumni Reunion, November 29-30, 2019. It is our hope that many alumni will make the reunion part of their Thanksgiving weekend plans in 2019.  We will have more details in the coming months on our website.

As you can see it has been a busy year, and these are just a few of the highlights.  I am excited for the year ahead and the many opportunities it provides to bring our Saints family together.  If you have an idea for an alumni event or would like to help plan your class reunion, please contact the Alumni Office at 607.231.1440. Please share this with your fellow alumni who may have gotten lost along the way.

Wishing you peace and happiness in 2019!
