Congressman Anthony Brindisi is hosting the 2019 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) and would like to invite any students (grades 6-12) to participate! This is the very first time the competition is being hosted by a representative from New York’s 22nd Congressional District.

Officially launched in 2015, this competition is a nationwide event intended to encourage student participation in STEM fields and inspire creative coding. This competition allows students to compete with their peers by creating an original software application (an “app”) for any platform and of any theme.

The CAC is a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills in a district that is no stranger to innovation and technology. Historically, major organizations such as the Endicott Johnson Corporation, BAE, and IBM have called our district home while newer companies are making immense economic and technological strides annually. As a result, we must continue to create an enriching environment for STEM education that challenges our children so that they are prepared to lead the technology revolution both here at home, and on the global forefront.
